Ecological policy is one of the priorities of PA “Belorusneft” activities. It is aimed at minimizing technogenic influence on the environment, health protection and employees safety.
In order to provide ecological safety, the system of the environmental management is introduced according to ISO 14001-2005 requirements. Environmental compliance certificate covers twelve separate subdivisions: Oil-and-Gas Production Department “Rechitsaneft”, Belarus Gas Processing Plant, Department of Oil Recovery Enhancement and Well Overwork, Svetlogorsk Drilling Department, Rig Hoisting Department, Backfill Department, Rechitsa Utility Vehicles Department, Svetlogorsk Agro-industrial Department (transport areas), Production Department “Nefteburservice”, “Promservice” Department, training and production facility, Office for environmental measures and protection of “BelNIPIneft”.
Implementation of ecological policy is one of the priorities of “Belorusneft”. It establishes general trends and principles of environmental activities, and provides the basis for the further operation and formulation of corresponding targets and figures, imposing requirements on environment and efficiency of ecological activities.
Along with the traditional methods, “Belorusneft” applies the following advanced technologies and methods:
- Use of progressive drilling methods, such as building of directional and horizontal wells;
- Implementation of pitless drilling method;
- Disposal of drilling wastes in a pilot underground storage (PUS);
- A facility for collecting of light hydrocarbons fractions operating in the tank battery of oil processing facility;
- Implementation of a program on gas fuel use in automotive transport. Today, the park of PA’s bottled gas driven automobile totals approximately to 75% of the overall number of petrol-powered automobiles.
